Weekly Calendar

Do you pin more projects than you make? We all do, right? There are so many ideas and so little time. However, sometimes you find something you have to do NOW. This weekly calendar was one of those projects. I made one many, many months ago and it was working quite well. (If you don’t feel like checking that link, the basic idea is that you use some scrap paper inside a photo frame to create a dry erase calendar.) A few little things weren’t perfect and that was okay, until about a week ago ๐Ÿ˜‰

The dry erase markers I had been using dried out (kids!) so I bought cute new neon ones that didn’t show up well over the dark papers in my original calendar. Time for an upgrade! The letter stickers I used on the first version were a little big and were sort of squished close to the top of each frame, so updating the papers gave me a chance to remedy all that.

On my last trip to Michaels I picked up We R Memory Keepers Anthologie 4×6 journaling card stack. Keep it simple and buy paper to fit the frame you are using. Sure, I have lots of paper and a good trimmer, but I also have four other projects on my desk.ย  ๐Ÿ˜‰

I added letter stickers from Basic Grey for each day, a chipboard accent from American Crafts and some canvas embellishments and note pads, also from Basic Grey. (Sorry, I can’t link to original collections for those, I’ve had the letters and AC chipboard for a very, very long time.)

Every time I walk by this in my kitchen now, I smile. It’s bright and cheery and much more fun than it was before! Mark it as a must do; it’s quick, easy and will keep your whole family organized.

(No, my frame is not hanging straight right now and yes, I will fix it ๐Ÿ˜‰
