Doodle-Ista

Brande and I are playing along with a challenge over at Catherine and Cathy Create this month. The challenge? Doodle!

brandeDoodle you say? Really, are you sure? Ok! Here goes … I doodled some circles by outlining my Creative Memories circle stencil a bunch of times, moving it just a little bit over between each trace; added some arrow marks to the doodled circle, doodles some random white arrows around the page, doodled inside the heart shaped lense of the camera clip, and doodled around the edges of the pattern paper. It’s a lot of fun putting pen to paper with nothing but “just doodle” in mind.

Supplies: Simple Stories Sn@p Life cardstock, letters and stickers; Bo Bunny Double Dot Charcoal, Creative Memories circle cutting system, Martha Stewart Crafts Gesso, and the doodling was done with my Tim Holtz Distress Marker in Fired Brick and Uni-ball Signo white pen

cherylDoodle?! I had no idea what I wanted to doodle … but I did want to play with some chalk paper. I took some paper and labels from My Mind’s Eye Chalk Studio and coloured over them with chalk I borrowed from the kids.  😉  I coloured sections onto the black paper and just rubbed my finger over it to soften the edges. (I did the same thing with each label.) I also scribbled more chalk under my journaling spots and used a white gel pen to outline my title letters.
